Aang & the Gaang Cast!

by

According to EW.com, Shyamalan has assembled the Gaang!

M. Night Shyamalan has found the cast for The Last Airbender, his upcoming live-action film based on the popular anime-inspired Nickelodeon series. The youthful group is mostly filled with unknowns who are likely to be household names by the time Paramount opens the first in its potential three-film franchise in July 2010. After an open casting call in Texas, Shyamalan discovered karate star Noah Ringer and offered him the part of Airbender’s 12-year old hero, Aang, an Avatar with superpowers who must stop the Fire Nation from destroying the world. Twilight‘s Jackson Rathbone has been asked to play Aang’s pal Sokka, while Nicola Peltz (Deck the Halls) will star as his sister Katara. Genial singer Jesse McCartney, meanwhile, is negotiating to play against type in the role of the Fire Nation’s evil prince Zuko.

  1. Jae Says:

This is the worst casting since Street Fighter. Aang is Tibetan, Sokka/ Katara are Inuits and the fire and earth nation are CLEARLY of asian ethnicity! A casting call in Texas was in poor taste. Please, do the ENTIRE fanbase a favor and go to California, look up the Zero Gravity team and ask for young asian martial arts actors.

    • Mary Jane Says:

Where are TOPH and AZULA? Are they not going to include them in the film???They are supposed to be included in the main cast…

      • Rhea Says:

Well, since this movie only covers the events of the first season, they aren’t really going to be in it.

  2. maya Says:

    i’m a little confused.

    first off…jesse mccartney??? (enough said)

secondly i’m a bit disappointed that they didn’t cast two people with darker skin as katara and sokka.

my understanding of avatar is that in the show katara and sokka have more of a native american colouring, and since the war is combining people from all over (their) world wouldn’t it make more sense to cast people a couple shades darker to show they come from a different part of the world? (though i do like the expression on Jackson Rathbone’s face, he’s hot…but still)

  3. avatar_otaku Says:

i totally agree with both of you!!!!JESSE MCCARTNEY aka american pop icon as ZUKO aka super awesome prince of the fire nation?!?!?!?!wtf?????im really sad at this casting—if they turn these people into the gaang…..i dont even want to think about it….im really curious about what noah ringer looks like……..and im really sad…..im gonna go and cry my eyes dry now

  4. Kole Says:

Its a movie get over it. Of course they aren’t going to get Asian and Ethnic Actors in an American Movie. They want the Stars of the Kids Worlds so apparently that’s them.

I don’t mind the choice, Jesse McCartney is a bit iffy but i Can get use to it…..I’m Freaked out by M. Night Shyamalan….sorry…but he is really bad.

Alos I think Jason Isaacs as Zhao would be awesome he looks like him…nuff said…..he played a similar role in The Patroit…. minus the fire bending

  5. Kyle Says:

Nicola is at least pretty and with a tan, blue contacts and dyed hair, she can pull it off
That Jackson kid looks like a deviant, so yeah, he could be funny. Same treatment applies for him though.
Jesse McCartney? As much as I dislike him, I was pulling for Joe Jonas.
And who the heck is this Noah kid? How fast can we get pics? Lol

  6. ...avatar... Says:

the skin colour shouldnt really matter coz its kinda hard to fine a good actor that looks like their charater. (fullstop)
i REALLY wanna know what Noah Ringer looks like ITS ANOYING ME!!!! AHHH D:
Jesse McCartney!!! i dont like him *fullstop* but if u stare at the picture 4 long enough n try to imagin zuko at the same time i guess u can kinda c zuko in him, but its his voice!?! last time i heard jesse speak it was really soft nothing like zuko :S

its a bit weird seeing like these pplz in their like 20′s play 14,15,16 yr old teens n this noah dude has the biggiest role playing at 12yr old kid (depends on his age) wif pplz in their 20s if they dont pull it off its gonna b pretty crap :(

there’s alot they’ve gotta pull off n i think M.night has it in real deep now… hes got to make this real good or he’ll b disapointing ALOT of fans n he’ll cop it BIG time :( :(

so much to think about graphics, make up, screens, extras, MOMO n APPA!! plus more!!!
:S :S if he pulls this off he’s a man of wonder ill give him that!?!

  7. patrick Says:

believe it or not, i think that Jesse McCartney might be able to pull this one off is he buffs up a bit more. He’s far to skinny. But after they dye his hair, you would probably see some resemblance. However, i think the choices for Katara and Sokka are a little off. First of all, Katara looks far to young and second of all, if they don’t tan them for this movie i am going to send a very mean letter to that stupid director. I sort of think that they completely ruined this movie… but eeh.

but katara and sokka sort of look like their counterparts…

BUT WHY DID THEY CHOOSE THAT STUPID M. NIGHT SHYAMALAN TO DIRECT! MOST OF HIS MOVIES ARE CRAPY SCI FI MOVIES THAT NO ONE LIKES! CURSE YOU NICKELODEON AND PARAMOUNT PICTURES!

  8. patrick Says:

I WAS MEANT TO PLAY THE ROLE OF AANG! ME! I DO KARATE! (i used to, but i still know everything) I LOVE AVATAR! I HAVE ACTING POTENTIAL!

you know what… im going to make my own avatar adaption and upload it to youtube, of course, i wont be playing aang. (Stupid m. night shyamalan!)

    EEERR! I’M SO ANGRY!

  9. Brian Says:

you all are crazy M. Night Shyamalan is one of most unique and amazing directors out there. if he was really as bad and horrible as u say he is famous actors wouldn’t be begging to be in his movies. as soon as he asked nick if he could direct they immediately agreed.

he’s gonna make a spectacular film and it’s probably gonna go in an unexpected but wonderful direction, let’s just let them do what they do and quit letting our expectations get the better of us.

  10. Kyle Says:

W00t! I just read that M. Night realized how pissed we all were about McCartney, and he decided to recast. Thank the lord almight! He is now considering Dante Basco!!!! The actual voice of Zuko! Huzzah!

  11. Kyle Says:

I agree with Brian, M. Night is a good director, he just writes crappy, but he got the creator’s help on the script. I hope that helps. Just… no twist ending. Please?

  12. Anonymous Says:

I think I remember saying something about Nicola Peltz. I am starting to warm up to this cast. But I will hold on ANY judgment until I could see a trailer. Where I get to see them in their FINAL transformation.

  13. Jessica Says:

Ok so… Jackson Rathbone playing Sokka? If only I could play Suki… omg… lol jk. Kinda. I am not happy with the Jesse/Zuko thing going on. And I don’t know who Nicola Peltz is because I havent seen her in anything, so Im not sure, but yeah…

  14. suck Says:

Night, good night. This should end your career as a director. He, of all people (he is of some Indian descent) should be sensitive to the casting. Where the hell are the Asians???? They should get Mickey Rooney to play the “Oriental” grandmpa. This casting is ridiculous. I am banning this movie, and I hope everyone else does, too.

  15. mustafa Says:

i think..Noah Ringer is wrong choice..look at this..what do u think about this?..

    there is!!
    http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1559927/

  16. Phoenix Falconer Says:

I’m somewhat satisfied with the choice of Sokka–he looks like the kind of guy that would pull off Sokka’s personality and humorous traits.

The girl–a few words for her. #1, she’s gorgeous. #2, She looks nothing like Katara. Granted, Katara is /anime/, and thus a “cartoon”; however, Nicola does not have the skin color for Katara. This might just be me being racist, but Shaylaman (or however you spell his name), should most definitely have chosen someone who is darker skinned–maybe someone Indian, Inuit, maybe even someone hispanic or latino. She could wear contacts to get the blue-eyed appearence, and dye her hair–but she looks all wrong.

Jesse–as much as I love him (I have to…he’s my brother’s friend…sorry guys) he can’t possibly play Zuko! Heck, my brother could play Zuko better than him! Plus, we’re half-Asian, so we might actually look the part. Seriously–Jesse McCartney? Maybe if he gets golden contacts, dyes his hair, etc., he might pull it off–but from what I’ve seen and met, he isn’t very flexible and he can’t exactly do the stunts that Zuko can do.

As for whoever this Noah Ringer is…

And lastly–Jason Isaacs would be perfect for Zhao! He already voices Zhao…and he did great in the Patriot. I will be so ticked if he’s not casted for Zhao.

Oh, one more thing–I sincerely hope that there is at least ONE Asian cast member.

    That’s all–
    Phoenix Falconer

  17. The Yatchsman Says:

i agree entirely Jason Isaacs is the ultimate bad guy u hated him in The patriot and in harry potter and hopefully (if m night shaymilan or wateva his name is nos anything bout avatar) prepare to hate him in again as Zhao.

As for Jesse McCartney just thank god his mediocre singing career has left him unavailable to play the role of Zuko(tank god).

Now Dev Patel an improvment but still out of all the characters to chose from he gets the part of Zuko, hes practicly white now he desides to cast someone a little darker shaymilan strikes again.

  18. A Says:

Brian, fans of the series probably dont want Shyamalan to take the movie in an “unexpected direction”…most people are gonna want the movie to follow the series.

they should really make Dante Basco play the part of Zuko. hed probably be perfect, considering hes the voice fo Zuko too lol

  19. caitlynm Says:

now that it is dev patel, i think the zuko choice is much better. (and while i do LOVE dante’s voice, he’s too old to play zuko.) and i agree- nicola could pull it off with some seriously good tanner and dar hair color. jackson- ummm… idk! that is so weird! i just seem him as jasper, so it’s hard to picture him being a goofy 16 year old. but it might work. but aang? i need to see this kid! no pics anywhere! although, it is possible he has an asian background, which i think would be preferable for the role.

  20. applejam Says:

There is absolutely no way that the fans are going to let this slide. This is the worst casting I’ve seen since- well, ever. Nicola Peltz might fit the part, Jackson Rathbone seems like an okay choice, but I really question how Jesse McCartney’s name ever came up in consideration. I mean really, what the heck? And I agree, I think the fire and earth nations are Asian, and being Chinese myself, I feel very insulted that anyone thinks he can pass for Zuko.

  21. popeyes Says:

they’ve changed Zuko’s character from jesse mccartney to dev patel from slumdog millionaire.

  22. A Says:

Dante could play the part, even tho hes 30-sumthing. all theyd really have to do is have him shave his face and people who dont know him other than seeing him for the first time in the movie would be shocked when they find out his age. and nicola and jackson just really need to get a tan and i think theyd be fine. jackson looks seems like he’d be the perfect personality fit for sokka.

  23. Katang Fan!!! Says:

First off all Katara is not white!!! And Nicola Peltz is white so i dont think she will do a good katara!!! But we will have to see how the movies comes out!!! And if she did a good job even though a dont think shes the right person!!!

  24. Aussie Says:

its not really about the looks of the actors, its about if M. Night Shyamalan can adapt. he is well know for his own masterpeice but can he really adapt to someone else masterpeice, and please hundreds and thousands of fans already sceptical of his decisons.

Dragonball Evolution is comming out soon and the cast themselves seem far from the original characters but it seems okay, like Ben 10 the movie that was almost like the series because the actors looked and sounded like the characters and the director wanted to keep the fans happy.

So dose M. Night Shyalaman have what it takes?

  25. A Says:

yeah, but dragonball evolution looks kinda like onna those movies that ya dont wanna see cuz u kno ur gonna get dissapointed, but u hafta go and see it anyway cuz ur a fan of the sho. idt people want the avatar movie to be like that.

  26. Rada Says:

    Okay, Jesse Mcartney????

If they cast him the productions gonna flop and won’t sell may tickets at all. Zuko, should aleast be played by someone whos is naturaly pale with black hair like Noah Hunt (he shoud play zuko he looks just like him) Or someone of asian decent not Dev Patel though he’s WAY to dark skined. I also think that Katara and Soka should be played by actors w/ darker skin! And why are they hiding Noah Ringer?!

  27. A Says:

its definately not gonna be jesse. they already said that. but i agree that dev shouldnt play zuko. i always figured that of the main characters, zuko was the most asian looking. also, the people playing katara and sokka just need to get a good tan and theyll do fine

  28. marisa Says:

this will fail like dragonball and legend of chun li. horrible casting director. there are talented asian actors looking for work. jeeze.

  29. A Says:

Dragonball wasnt awful. but way to be a total downer, in every way possible

  30. kyouheikutie Says:

thank god they have recasted and no more jesse, say hello to Dev Patel, as in the main character from Slumdog millionaire, hey they got dark skin…on the wrong freaking person!!!!!!!!
seriously, Dev should soooooo be playing Sokka, he would be so perfect for that role as in awesomely close to looking like Sokka in some way. and Jackson would be such a good Zuko…. why did he have to switch them around?!

  31. Spaceout Says:

I agree with kyouheikutie. Zuko is practically the palest character on the show (in fact, he could pass as a Twilight vampire with the hotness and the gold eyes). Plus, how does Jackson Rathbone look ANYTHING like Sokka???? I mean, AT ALL?!?!?! And Nicola Peltz?!?! As KATARA?!!? I’d better hope that Noah Ringer looks SOMETHING like Aang, but I seriously doubt it, considering the other casting choices. I have some slim hopes for this movie. Unless Zutara happens in it, which is a rumour that I doubt. Ooooohhhh…… Zutara…… That would be awesome…

  32. Spaceout Says:

I nearly had a heart attack when they announced Jesse as Zuko (God, I can barely stand both names in the same sentence). Eww. The recasting is not much better. We need a PALE person for Zuko and TAN peolpe for Katara and Sokka. It’s not that hard to figure out. Jeez!

  33. JustAFan Says:

I love how the majority of the posts on here focus on the actor’s ethnicity. Since when was there any correlation between the colour of one’s skin and their acting ability? I think that if they were able to find a cast that will be able to perform their roles, professionally and by keeping in touch with the series, then that should be good enough. M. Night Shyamalan would not cast actors that did not match this criteria.

Also, you should all stop over-analyzing everything. You will get to the point where you have gone over every facet of this film so much and it will no longer be enjoyable for you. Just accept it for what it no doubt will be – brilliant.

I’m very much looking forward to this movie. Should be an experience for all who are lucky enough to see.

    That’s my two cents.

  34. Beth Says:

i definitely agree with Kyouheikutie and Spaceout. the actors for sokka and zuko should be switched . Dev ‘s face profile matches sokkas and Jacksons matches zukos more than Dev’s (though i also agree with Rada and think that Noah Hunt ‘s face profile matches Zukos).

hmm. maybe their acting will make up for it.
    doubt it.

however. i think aang looks decent. if his arrow was blue . :( . from the looks of the new pictures… i can’t really tell from his shiny bald head…but the arrow doesn’t look blue to me.

boo boo stewart would have been good for aang, as well based on pictures.

but noah ringer will do i guess .

still not sure if i would go see the movie . probably not.

  35. Beth Says:

hmm.. their acting better be good. because that would be the only way i would go see the movie . but even still…

  36. Sisii Says:

    Guyyys, chiiil :)

I know the outrage and yeah, it’s pretty obvious there SHOULD be more variety with ethnicities with the primary characters instead of just in the secondary characters. But, I’m pretty sure their acting would be really good :) I mean it IS Dev Patel, and the acting is the most important part. BUT, is it just me or did he NOT have a scar in the pictures of Dev Patel/Zuko.

THAT is worthy of outrage, people. And no, Beth, the arrow is brown, loll and looks more like a henna tattoo. But yah never know, they might just make it blue with computers as well as the scar to make it look extra gross, loll :)

  37. Kylie Says:

First of all those people SUCK!! Their skin needs to be darker and their hair. Also, Katara and Sokka have BLUE eyes not green. Im going to be really mad if this turns a really good Tv show into a laughing stock because of that movie. I just hope that it is actually good.

  38. Heidi Says:

I don’t really like the whole Jessie choice but I’m not one to judge for all I know he could turn out to be really good for the role! I am also slightly dissapointed with the skin tones’ of the Katara and Sokka picks! I’m sure with some make-up and contacts however they would be great. The girl for Katara is pretty and the Sokka actor does look like he can make some funny faces!

  39. A Says:

jeez people, enough with the hate about wat race they are. im sure their skin will be darker by the movie because ya kno, there is a such thing a a tanning bed if need be. all you haters r puttin a negative connotation on avatar fans. get off your high horse, grow a set and get over it. i think the movie will be awesome

  40. Zutarian Says:

It is not just the race issue. They don’t have to be specifically Japanese, Inuit, Chinese, or etc. Though it is absurd they picked mostly white actors with the exception of Zuko. They could have made the effort to pick ethnic actors. The deeper issue is that they picked actors who don’t look like or resemble the animated characters at all. It is almost like they will turn into different characters in the movie. They needed to pick people who capture the essence and presence of the characters. Dev Patel looks NOTHING like Prince Zuko. It is beyond skin deep. Avatar is very epic in structure and it was no suprise when I heard a movie version was in the works. I visualized the characters in the flesh. The viewers had a concrete concept and image of what the characters looked like. I know they picked a more youthful Katara to deflect from the age controversy where it is inappropriate for a teenager and child to hook up. I bet if they actually picked people with the presence of Aang and Katara, more people would have been bothered by Kataang like I was
or notice the imbalanced dynamic. Though it wasn’t just the age..Maiko contradicted Zuko’s character development and Kataang lacked chemistry on many levels. It conflicted with the themes and characters of the show and addressed romance in a superficial way when other possibilites would have been extraordinary and profound.

Anyway, I was especially anticipating who would play Zuko. It would take a very talented actor of great maturity, intensity, complexity, and range to play that character. Ditto with Katara. Zuko was beautiful, inside and out. Yes, I expected him to be hot. The fact is none of the people except for maybe Noah as Aang even look like the characters.

  41. Zutarian Says:

I bet the movie will flop. It is a shame considering the potential of this amazing series. The fact is that the characters go against what most of the fans envisioned and it goes against the spirit of the story. Appearances lend a certain credibility. The issue is beyond skin deep.
Do any of the actors fit the image you have of the character? I am suprised Bryke didn’t play a greater role in casting. The looks had to match the animated version for the most part to even feel like we are watching these figures we grew to love and respect. All of the characters have a specific look and feel to them. This movie is going to be lame like Dragonball Evolution.

  42. Bless Says:

Exactly! I agree with Zutarian. They didn’t have to be from the exact region but they needed to at least look like the characters. They were way off base with almost every character, especially with Zuko. No offense to Patel or any of the other actors but they are nothing like most of us would fanatasize Zuko, Katara, Sokka, and Aang to look like. You would think M. Night as an Indian would be more respectful. It is not just about race, but the integrity of the characters.

  43. Zutarian Says:

Thank you for restoring my message. I will watch the first movie out of curiosity but if it is disappointing I won’t watch the rest. There might not even be more movies if the first flops and I have feeling the fans will not be satisfied. Having the right cast to depict the characters is crucial to everything that is important to Avatar.

  44. anonymous Says:

i love avatar and i think the choice for aang is great he looks exactly like him! atleast i think so, as for katara and sokko ehh sucks that really disapointed me! i rather see vanessa hudgens as katara haha really though. As for jackson he needs to tan.

  45. little*jellybean Says:

*sniff…sniff* the whole thing makes me want to cry. Anyway, considering Avatar was intended for middle school kids and the fact that Aang and Katara are only 12 and 14, should there be chemistry between them yet?

  46. Tony Says:

The casting was disrespectful to the audience in many ways. I cannot word it better than Zutarian but they needed to pick people who at least resembled the characters and had their essence. Then again, I felt Bryke disrespected the characters and the half of the audience who took the
themes, symbolism, and maturation/development of the characters like Zuko seriously to pair complex characters who shared an underlying bond and multi-layered connection with the wrong people. I wasn’t bothered by it initially because I understood it was a children’s show
but it was reading and analyzing the shipping commentary that made me realize the depth of ignorance and intolerance it created when ironically
contradicts the philosophy of humanism and profound psychological understanding the series promoted. The romances and the many shallow
fans need to rationalize it while staging such hateful campaigns and
misportrayals against more logical pairings actually created a major
mental and emotional block to understanding Zuko and what aspects of life he represented. Zuko was the character who carried the shows
main themes and more than half of the audience rejected or downplayed his arc because of Kataang/Maiko. I would say about 90% of the
infuriating commentary from Kataang/Maiko made comments and reflected an attitude that clearly showed they did not have the mental
depth and life experience to understand Zuko’s story. Many did not even accept him and still viewed him as an antagonist/villian at the end. Those who understood the Zuko, his life, and the psychology behind his character, also saw the profound similarities and parallels between him and Katara. That pairing also made great use of the symbolism and
values promoted by the show. All of that insight seemed to go to waste.
Instead of a resolution, many felt pain, frustration, and angst for a show that asked us to examine their plot and characters deeply and seriously.

I can write pages about it. The opposition really crossed the line in so many ways. It was emotional abuse and mind-numbing. I am not even mentioning the many plotholes they did not address or superficially
addressed. Such an extraordinary setup and then we have an epic
fail that caused such deep dissatisfaction. Bryke created a very nasty
ignorant bandwagon mentality. I can already tell from the trailer and
casting that this movie is going to be mediocre. You cast the characters
of Zuko and Katara wrongly, it will screw everything up. The fact that the original choice was Jesse McCartney proved in the beginning M. Night
was not treating the material with the respect it deserved. From the
clips I have seen, Dev Patel plays Zuko like a caricature and in the exact
    way I feared.

Fans have every right to react to this considering we deeply
cared about this show and was so emotionally invested in it. It actually
impacted our souls and lives. As for the chemistry…if characters lack basic chemistry, they shouldn’t be paired together romantically especially if the girl is a maternal, sisterly figure whose dynamic with
Aang was completely imbalanced. The endgame pairing with Mai did
contradict and undermine everything Zuko experienced to reform
spiritually, emotionally, and philosophically. They paired him with
somebody who was not just incredibly incompatible with him at the end of his evolution but who didn’t even display the capacity to understand
why the fire nation’s ways was evil and who could destroy him.
    So much to say.

Avatar had a wide demographic. The first film might do okay at the box office but I have a feeling most of the audience above the age of 10
is going to be deeply disappointed and feel violated.

  47. kANDI KI Says:

OH SHUT UP PEOPLE. The casting is great and Noah look exactly how aang looks so shoooooosh. Its all done and done and I shall go see the movie, because I’m a true fan and I respect it all. Oh ya.

  48. Veronica Says:

Don’t tell people to shut up, they have every right to be upset. The casting was way off. A true fan who respects the material wouldn’t tolerate such mistakes, inconsistencies, and issues. The reason I quit being an Avatard was because of people like you, who disrespected the intelligent fans for engaging in relevant criticism and valid discussions on what could have been improved upon. It was not just about shipping but about character development, themes, psychology, and symbolism that the creators ended up degrading. Half of the fanbase was abused and harassed horribly to the highest level for reacting to that. That is why the shipping wars have continued because the victims fight back against what we had to deal with and most of us explain our analysis. Avatar
set up a deep construct, had many epic failures of plot and romance, and then created such malice, ignorance, and twisted outlooks.

I couldn’t tolerate the superficial and nonsensical Maiko/Kataang, ex deux machina, and the many plotholes. The movie looks ten times worse than the animated series. People have the right to vent and complain.

  49. Veronica Says:

    Please post my first comment

  50. Noah Says:

Ok for all of us who are out raged about white people in it you must realize that white people fit for any move. They can play in a ghetto an Asian and any other type movie. Whereas black people could not. I mean imagine a dark skinned guy playing Aang. Not possible. Im black and I dont like it as much as you do but you will have to face the facts. I mean they have been doing this for like ever you must have gotten used to it by now. Maybe they could not find someone with enough of the same comparisons to look like the cartoons. Do realize that they are cartoons and people made them up. Its not like for every cartoon they are going to make there is a human…… no its not possible. WHite people are able to be painted into looking like something. I mean think of twilight the black guy in there was bad looking becuase of the pale fakeness. Of course i never watch twilight so i might be incorrect but it just does not fit. Imagine someone from Iraq or a Asian guy pale ….. its really not possble unless they are born light skinned. Maybe they could not find Asian people to portray them so their fall back was……. you guessed it white people. In the cartoons they are even white. Well Aang and zuko was. But realize the four nations was based off mainly Asian culture but also some American things and therefore making a new race of people from the …..4NATIONS. THE ELEMENTS ARE THE RACES IF YOU NOTICED. IM just being realistic and telling you that most likeley its always going to do with white people. I mean I dont see asian super heroes now they all look white even if the Japanese made it or not. I dont see a Asian bat man or a black superman its white thats the only thing. Yeah sure sometimes they do but its rare the original green lanter or the cartoon ones was

  51. Noah Says:

sorry the thing keeps messing up when i was typing but i was saying that green lanter was black but that like the only thing and im sure you guys noticed it why didnt you do something a long time ago but i dont know maybe there are but thosse are the characters i grew up with so please lets just drop it and i bid you all a farewell

  52. RYAN Says:

Ilike the way you act sokka…….it is so very funny……..more power……..sokka
