Ever heard of a haircut? It’s a new invention, I hear it works wonders.

“and how r yall gonna make appa or momo or the flying dragons”

Ever heard of CGI? That’s a new invention too, the aliens gave it to us.
The same aliens who taught you English. Yall.

    • Brenda Says:

I think once she has a hair cut she will make a decent suki, and I think the person they have to play sokka doesn’t look anything like sokka for the show. In the cartoon sokka is more dark complected, and the person they have playing him is light complected. I love Dev Patel I really do! But I don’t think he will make a good zuko, because he looks nothing like him neither does the person playing the uncle. I hope they don’t just do book 1 water I hope they continue you books 2 and 3 in different movies that way they won’t have to squeeze everything into one movie. I like a lot of M. Night Shyamalans movies so hopefully I will enjoy this one too. I hope he doesn’t change too much about it.

    • Brenda Says:

I think maybe they should have switched the sokka and zuko characters then the would have looked a little more like the actual characters in the show, but i’m so excited the movie is coming out!

@ Angie: Twilight was a terrible movie, and known actors/actresses do not mean they are GOOD actors actresses. Everyone starts somewhere. They’ll probably make those with intense CGI effects, also saying you “no” everything about Avatar would make you sound kind of… ignorant, so don’t say that, because I’m sure you aren’t :) Just saying here, not trying to start an argument.

On the other side of this, I think she’ll do fine.

  4. bob Says:

jackson rathbone did not talk once in that trashbag of what they call a movie. how does that give him any credibility whatsoever? except that he is a mute that needs a hold to hand in fear of getting lost in a blink
hopefully good looking girl characters will do it for me in this movie

  5. _iCebendEr Says:

    geeZZZ..is shyamala’s casting directors’ BLIND??..
suki is short-haired and narrow eyed!..they should take a japanese girl..because kyoshi warriors, residents and the island are genuinely taken from japan..I THINK ITS THE KYUSHU ISLANDS..
even the face paint concept of the warriors are taken there..in the island!..japanese actresses or girls..may pass the standards of american acting!

  6. Sharon Says:

Y’all are soooo picky. :P I’m preeetty sure the world won’t end if this movie isn’t perfect.

  7. CeNsUs Says:

Whoa Angie, for someone who knows “everything” about avatar, you dont know much about avatar, especially how to spell the characters names; “Kyoshi, Ozai, Toph, Tai Lei, Mai”. And they dont need to base the film on EVERY episode, I mean, “the great divide” isn’t that important the story line should be; Aang gets unfrozen, meets Katara and Sokka, travels to the north pole, meeting Bumi on the way perhaps, oh and the whole everyone youve ever met is dead, Zuko chases him, Aang and Katara learn waterbending, Omashu gets captured, the gang finds Toph, Aang learns earthbending, Ba Sing Se is a nut house, the it gets captured by Azula, oh and the whole Zuko has to run away, and the whole Appa gets lost thingy… maybe, Aang gets taken down, they pretend to be fire nation, the day of the black sun, invasion fails, Zuko becomes good and teaches Aang, Phoenix King, Avatar state is back, energybending, victory!!!

    • sam Says:

Agreed. Angie is a dipshit and you’re absolutely right.

Except, I don’t think Appa being lost should go in the movie. It adds nothing to the actual main plot, and frankly, was the most boring 5 (?) episodes of the entire series.

      • Erica Says:

I agree too. Angie, please learn to spell. And, I think it was like 8-ish episodes? Somewhere around there xD Appa being kidnapped (bison-napped…? xD) was actually important in the second season because you see that Aang isn’t always like a happy-go-lucky kid, and that he does get angry.

  8. jade Says:

OMG HER HAIR IS LONG!!! She will never be good enough because HAIR CANNOT BE CUT SHORT!! Gosh, people. This picture isn’t directly from the film! I understand being upset about something that cannot be changed, like race, but COME ON. Complaining about hair is ridiculous.

  9. Julia Says:

All of you people are so picky! The world isn’t going to end if the movie is horrible. Even though they don’t look like the actual character, I think they’re good at acting. Stop judging them with their appearances!

  10. Katie Says:

I’m not saying the world will end if this movie isn’t perfect, but COME ON, its avatar we’re talking about here!!!!!! I don’t want a good series to be trashed.

  11. TM Says:

Seriously, they don’t need to look perfectly like their Avatar counter-parts. She’ll do fine as Suki.

  12. sam Says:

Nothing is good enough for you people.

    1. You got three seasons of Avatar.
    That’s not good enough.
    2. The series came to an incredible, and appropriate, end.
    That’s not good enough.
    3. Avatar is being made into a movie.
    That’s not good enough.
    4. Avatar is being made into THREE movies.
    That’s not good enough.
    5. The movie is cast with very talented and capable actors.
That’s not good enough. Actually, you complain about it. You don’t act grateful and appreciative that this happened to a series you love, but instead act rudely, inappropriately, and just plain disgusting. You better get your attitudes back into line, and look at the big picture here. Avatar is being made into a movie. You know, maybe it would be better if this movie thing never happened.

Come to think of it, that wouldn’t be good either. Because then that would bring us right back to number 2. And that just wouldn’t be good enough for you brats, would it?

  13. peterrabbit118 Says:

everyone in here just needs to learn there making it for u be happy there making the movie at all of course there arent gonna be people who look excatley like the characters its how they act learn something just jump the gun its gonna be a good movie almost all the actors are good

  14. Shelby Says:

Lol, maybe we should just agree that no matter what, the cartoon will always be better. At first I didn’t like the cast but their growing on me…O.o

  15. Jim Says:

excellent casting choice… this is going to be a remarkable film

  16. CynicalWaterbender Says:

I don’t know anything about her acting ability, but she seems like she’ll make an alright Suki. In all honesty, she looks more like Suki than most of the other actors do to their characters. Kyoshi is definitely, blatantly Japanese, though. As long as they maintain that aspect of the culture (which, judging by the wallpaper featuring Suki with the fan, they do) then I can be satisfied with the Kyoshi representation.

  17. Orwill Yatke Says:

I was looking forward to seeing you Suki!!
I hope you will still be in the other movies!

  18. rockytheearthbender Says:

we all know they film can not include everything we loved with the series its just like how in harry potter films stuff isn’t in it and they can pronounce the names their way in the film and i will say the names the real proper way the name changes annoyed me during the movie
