And beyond that, his clothes looks at lot like what a realistic adaptation of Aang's clothes might be. It looks a lot like a Shaolin wrap, which is what Aang's entire look is based on. Air bending is composed of swift, quick movements, while this costume has shoes that are tied tightly around the legs,thus hindering movement, and the bracelets jingling around would throw off the air current.
