Really looking forward to it… BUT, as an effects artist, I’d have to say that the CG in this teaser look a little cheap. Like the compositing though.

the effects do look a bit raw but they still have a whole year to make it perfect so lets hope!

Is anyone else bothered by the guy who plays Aang? He looked kinda ackward watching spinning his staff. Thought those candles were cool though, that must have been hard to do blowing them out while the others were still lit. Love the background voice though. It sounds exactally like Roku’s.

They had 100 seconds to show from the film and they wasted them on aang blowing out some candles? Am I the only one that is disappointed by this trailer?

yea a little dissapointed but I think M Night wanted to put something out there to shut up the critics and make people want more, he made me want MORE thats for sure!

They’re not even done filming the movie yet. These really early teaser trailers are not about showing footage of the film, but to give the audience a taste of what the film will be like when it’s done (in this case: mythical, epic, fantasy, etc.). For a teaser, it’s actually very, very impressive.
I’m sorry you had a different idea of what the trailer will be, but really, this was to be expected.

This trailer is pretty good. I am a fellow martial artist, and I can say that he definitely knows how to use the staff. The bending is believable, and the ships all coming look really dramatic. Oh, and did anyone else take a close look at the tattoo on Aangs head? I can see the airbender symbol in the middle of the arrow. Definitely cool. The kid looks just like Aang, though I would like to see him smile at some point. Also, I think he was at a air temple, the posts outside remind me of that airbending game he showed sokka in one episode.

On the HD trailer, you can see that the “shaft” part of the arrow is actually a bunch of arrows lined up end to end with other patterns surrounding them. Very cool.

MAN!! I get more pumped the more times I watch this!!
It’d be nice if we can get a downloadable teaser; hint hint.
So yeah, I’m loving the airbending part; it seems so natural. That moment when Aang blows out a chunk of the candles by pushing his palm towards it felt totally like the show, like it was no big deal…until you realize that this is the movie! It was just like, oh, Airbending, cool….WAIT! HE’S FREAKING AIRBENDING OMG!! Hahaha.
The epic pan out gets more and more epic each time I watch it, and the music is really growing on me. The reveal of the Fire Nation ships with the incredible score is…OMG.

OMG I know! At first I was like “oh cool, he’s airbending” then I was like “O M G they took a cartoon and made airbending look REALISTIC!” I was just absolutely shocked and amazed. This movie looks FANTASTIC so far. If they stick to the storyline (which they said they will) then this movie is gonna be a keeper.
Normally my family doesn’t go to the theaters (except once or twice a year) but I don’t care if I have to drag them to the theaters with my own two hands, I AM GOING TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!! ^_^!!!

it looked like the episode when the fire nation attacks one of the air temples(epi, northern air temple ?) with the people flying the gliders. but in that episode there were not firenation ships, so maybe mnight added the ships intead of the tanks that climb the walls? idk
gotta see aang smile tho, and see soka and katara too

It does indeed look EPIC.
One thing I ask you, Shyamalan, is PLEASE do NOT allow this movie, of all movies, to end up on one of those Mcdonalds commercials advertising Happy meals. This is one thing that you must promise to ALL of us. I know it may sound dorky, but Avatar: The Last Airbender is my life. Do NOT embarass the show. Which hopefully you wont, because this movie looks amazing. I dont doubt it at all. =D
