June 23, 2009 at 2:23 am |
I just did not see that *drools*
Hey, Aang looked a bit white in the show as well, so, this is passable.
Now I can’t wait to see the trailer… IN HD.
Then I can’t wait to see the trailer trailer (not the teaser i mean), then I can’t wait to see that in HD
then I can’t wait to see the movie =D

Looking good, as far as the visuals and the score. Definitely seems like they have a budget, and they’re trying to make a cool movie. Not a lot going on here, but hey, it’s more than I’ve seen in some teasers.
I don’t think this particular scenario ever actually happened in the series, but it’s likely to be just for the teaser and not in the actual film.
June 23, 2009 at 2:38 am |
Does anyone have any idea where Aang is in that scene? from the ships shooting the fireballs it looks like the Northern Water Tribe War….but then Aang is in some temple on a mountain edge…? Where is he in that scene???!?!
Or is it like jackiecous said and is it just for the teaser???
June 23, 2009 at 2:57 am |
@Confused
It’s probably just shot for the trailer. The effects were awesome! This Noah Ringer kid is looking more and more promising with everything I see him in.

Its funny how many people were bitching before seeing anything on the movie and now that we have… no bitching. It looks awesome, I cant wait to see the other characters!
June 23, 2009 at 4:37 am |
Like I said before it doesn’t matter to me if the movie is a big blockbuster it will be a big failure in the they way they choice to cast the movie, and I am still boycotting it.
July 2, 2009 at 4:01 am
wow, your boycotting but you seem to be spending time looking at the website and leaving comments…
July 3, 2009 at 1:33 am
haha ignore Heavenly– they’ve been going from wall to wall, bitching about it. They have no REAL evidence for their arguments– they just like to argue for no reason. Haha poor pathetic person.
June 23, 2009 at 6:27 am |
I was one of those bitchers!!! And I´m not ashamed to say it… I was wrong for judging before it came out. Now I´m just swallowing up everything I said before. the movie´s gonna be THE epic win. period.
June 23, 2009 at 3:11 am |
Its quite possible that its that small battle at the Northern Air Temple (only cause there is no snow – otherwise I’d say North Pole) – but like many teaser trailers this early before the realease date it was probally to give the viewers an idea what to expect in the film if they had never heard of Avatar (as unlikely as it is….).
And I agree with previous reviews: this will be beyond epic!
June 23, 2009 at 3:14 am |
Could be showing how the Air peoples were wiped out before Aang was frozen, although I don’t think Aang was that close to the action in the show. It would make sense to show him fleeing on Appa in the face of a Fire Nation invasion and then accidentally becoming frozen, though, for the sake of making it easy for the audience to comprehend. You can see little Fire Nation soldiers climbing the cliff face, btw. At least it looks that way – HD will reveal if that’s the case.

Yer I’m really disappointed I must say. I was sitting their throught the trailer going “Come on come on I wanna see Sokka, Katara and Zuko.” Especially katara because we’ve seen nothing of Nicola Peltz in costume… On the other hand I think the airbending looks good. Very promising. and when the camera panned out from the temple and down over the cliffs to see the Fire Navy attacking I was like “O… M… G…” lol. I think this film will be amazing. Whatever doubts I had in M. Night Shamalyans ability to make the series into a half decent film are now gone. Judging from the special effects this is going to be an amazing film.
June 23, 2009 at 3:23 am |
Oh and if you make the video full screen and look closely you can see people climbing rope on the cliff face as well as people running along the beach down the bottom near the boats. Just thought that was interesting.
June 23, 2009 at 3:53 am |
Well, some of us knew (thanks to various insiders posting on various forums) that the trailer was basically Aang airbending. So yeah, no disappointment here that they didn’t show the others. This is a teaser, after all.
BUT BY GUM THAT WAS EPIIIIIIC!!! Oh man, Ringer has the skillz, that’s for sure! And that FN fleet! WOW!!
But yes, this is most likely just a scene shot specifically for the teaser. Those who saw Star Trek and saw the first teaser would understand this; that teaser was just the Enterprise “under construction”, and none of those scenes were ever in the movie. Movies seem to be doing a lot of that lately. Heh.
Now to watch it a million more times!!
June 23, 2009 at 5:27 am |
oh man oh man! I am so pumped noooowwww!…But there is one thing….when he is swinging his staff around, shouldnt some of the candles be going out? Just a thought. And i also think its really funny how there is no one putting negative comments about the trailer. Either the people who were putting negative comments down are now putting positive ones or they just stopped commenting. Either way it just goes to show you, that you should never judge something before it comes out!
Btw i think this is specifically for the teaser trailer
June 23, 2009 at 5:35 am |
oh and the insignias at the end look good also. I can tell which one is which at least. The Air is a spiral. The Water looks like the moon and ocean. The Earth is that circle with a square in the middle thing that you see in the tv show. And the Fire, well…looks like a flame. So i am happy with the whole Kit-n-kaboodle
June 23, 2009 at 6:12 am |
did you hear the voice…sounded familiar huh, kinda like…….IROH ???
June 23, 2009 at 6:24 am |
HOLY CRAP!!!
this is just EPICNESS sheer and pure epicness!!
I will swallow up my words, shyamalan, my hat´s off to you for proving me wrong.
I CAN´T WAIT TO SEE THE MOVIE!!!!!!!! IT WAS SO AWESOMEEEEE ….
the bending… the music, the effects, everything! Even that kid noah pulled it off more than decently if you ask me.
I swear I´ve seen it like a gazillion times and it still doesn´t get old
My favorite part is when he blows off the candles all at once XD
and the title at the end YOU´VE GOT TO LOVE THE TITLE AT THE END…
okay this is embarassing, I think it´s very clear I´m just about a little too exited over here.
can´t wait for 2010!!!
June 23, 2009 at 2:45 pm |
Actually, the voice reminded me of Avatar Roku.
June 23, 2009 at 4:10 pm |
I think that that clip was just the teaser, filmed just to show long time fans of the show, and people that have never seen avatar, what they are to expect in the film. I don;t think there is any “location” that he is at, just that they wanted to explain how important Aang is and that he has pretty much the whole fire nation after him.
It is going to be SO amazing! 1 year seems way too long from now!! <333
June 23, 2009 at 6:36 pm |
OHHH YEAHHHHHHH!!!!!! Shyamalan is BACK!!!! No crappy Lady in the Water or The Happening Sh*t here!!!
June 27, 2009 at 8:15 am |
Does anyone know what actor did the voice over for this teaser because I THINK that if we find that actor, we find Roku…
July 7, 2009 at 1:16 am |
I’m so excited! I only wished that we saw Sokka though, but besides that, I am soooo looking forward to when the trailer comes out – the full one.
But there’s still a year before the movie is released. D:

Then we find out they wasted their entire budget on the trailer
